Educational visits and learning beyond the classroom are an integral part of life at The Clare School. Successful learning beyond the classroom provides memorable learning experiences and enhances the children’s education in ways that are not possible in the classroom. The school is committed to providing school visits as a positive tool to develop pupils’ independence and to build their experience of the local and wider world.

What is Learning Outside the Classroom?

Learning outside the classroom is a broad term that includes all forms of learning that are beyond the traditional classroom format. This includes the use of school grounds and outdoor spaces, as well as local and further afield trips, residentials, and sleepovers.
